The Ohio Valley Filk Fest, or OVFF for short, is the world's largest filk convention. The first convention in the series was held in 1984 in Cincinnati. The plan was for OVFF to alternate years with another filk convention to be established in a neighboring state, but that second convention lost its hotel and fell through too late for OVFF to be able to plan a 1985 convention.
