Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was home to the Milwaukee Fictioneers and the MA2oSF3. It hosted Beercon, Phyllcon, X-Con, Triangulum, First Contact, Operacon, ditto 18, and CremeCon. Concinnity is an annual event.
Almost, but not quite Milwaukee Worldcon bids emerged for 1948, 1959 and 1994; all but the first dissolved well before site selection.
MilwApa is based and collates there, and the slan shack Lytheria hosts much of Cream City fandom’s social activity. The Milwaukee Science Fiction League launched in 2021. There is also the Milwaukee Steampunk Society, MAGE and The Milwaukee Time Lords, a Dr. Who club.
