Michicon 1, the 1941 Michiconference (also known as the Michigan First Annual Science Fiction and Fantasy Conference), was a convention held November 16, 1941, in an unknown hotel in Jackson, Michigan. John Millard was chairman.

Cover art donated by Ziff Davis brought in $3 to $5 at auction. (The convention was remembered for a bed collapsing from too many fans on it — possibly the first, but far from the only time this happened in fanhistory.)

One of the great fears expressed at time time was that the prozines might all go extinct — which seemed to be a real possibility. Later, the group went to the home of E. E. Smith for a bull session.

The Mid-West Fantasy Fan Federation was organized there, with directors from each of the states represented.

Among the attendees were Al and Abby Lu Ashley, Alan and Kay Becker, Lynn Bridges, Claude Degler, E. E. Evans, Morrie Jenkinson, Erle Korshak, Dick Kuhn, Walt Liebscher, Leonard Marlowe, Mark Reinsberg, Doc and Jeanne Smith, Dorothy Tomkins, Al and Verna Smith Trestrail, Bob and Jane Tucker and Jack Wiedenbeck.

Tucker ran photos on the cover of Le Zombie 48.
