(Did you mean a style of fanwriting?)
Kent Trufandom, abbreviated to KTF, was a British sf club, founded in the early 1980s by Vin¢ Clarke. Their usual venue for meetings was at his house.
The name was chosen as a deliberate move to coincide with "Kill The Fuckers" style of fanwriting, a practice of which Clarke disapproved.
Its members, while mostly from south-east England, were not confined to Kent. Some, like Vince, were drawn from the BAFFs (Born Again Fifties Fans). As well as Clarke, they included:
Other occasional attendees included
- Greg Pickersgill
- Linda Pickersgill
- Pam Wells
- Dave Langford
- Judith Hanna
- Joseph Nicholas
- Maureen Kincaid Speller
- Paul Kincaid
- Harry Bond
- Bridget Wilkinson
- John D. Rickett
- Irwin Hirsh, from Australia, who visited the group on his GUFF trip
- Robert Lichtman, from the USA, who visited on his TAFF trip
They were publishers of the KTF Xmas Card.
The group continued at least up to the early 1990s.

This is a club page. Please extend it by adding information about when and where the club met, when and by whom it was founded, how long it was active, notable accomplishments, well-known members, clubzines, any conventions it ran, external links to the club's website, other club pages, etc.
When there's a floreat (Fl.), this indicates the time or times for which we have found evidence that the club existed. This is probably not going to represent the club's full lifetime, so please update it if you can! |
