Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was home to the Milwaukee Fictioneers and the MA2oSF3. It hosted Beercon, X-Con, Triangulum, First Contact, Operacon, ditto 18, and CremeCon.
Almost, but not quite Milwaukee Worldcon bids emerged for 1948, 1959 and 1994; all but the first dissolved well before site selection.
MilwApa is based and collates there, and the slan shack Lytheria hosts much of Cream City fandom’s social activity.
