Tropicon I was a convention held March 12-14, 1982 at the Sheraton Hotel in Boca Raton, FL and the GoH was Lee Hoffman.

It was chaired by Joe Siclari and was held in conjunction with Swanncon 3, the International Conference on the Fantastic in the Arts.
