David V. Jenrette was a Miami fan active from the 1950s. (He was known for a time as Dave Howard. His birth name was Jenrette, but it was changed when his mother remarried. The Air Force reverted him to his birth name, which he then retained.)

He organized Mooncon in 1977. He was a fanzine fan and fanartist, known for satirical cartoons.

He was married to fellow fan Rusty Jenrette from 1955–73 and starting in 1973 to Mardee Slolnick.

Alan Dodd was the target of a hoax by Dave and Rusty Jenrette and Ron Bennett in which they claimed that they had created Dodd as a hoax fan.
