Goontact was a one-shot 1957 apazine 'published once in the lifetime by the GOONTACT group: Vin¢ Clarke [specified in the colophon immediately below as editor], Joy Clarke, 'Sandy' Sanderson, and Chuck Harris' [given as Publisher / Published by, with his Essex address; perhaps the occasion was the Inchmery's visit?]. It is a spoof 1st April 1957 'No 13, a FAPA and OMPA Postmailing'.[1]

Its 4 unnumbered pages combine humorously outrageous pseudo-news items (credited by authors' initials) with some promotion of the coming Loncon, and serious annotations of eight 'New Current Fanzines' at the third page's right half.

All this, including the layout, was a parody of Contact, the 1956–7 newszine published by the Contact Group (Ron Bennett, Jan Jansen, John Hitchcock, Ellis Mills and Steve Schultheis). The title presumably referred to wikipedia:The Goon Show, a cult in the UK then, but less known generally (see SFE's entry for Spike Milligan).
