A very sercon regional convention held outside Boston, Massachusetts, in the summer. It was founded by Bob Colby and statistician Eric Van in 1987 with the goal of focusing almost exclusively on SF/fantasy/slipstream/speculative fiction in the written form.
It is known for its draconian Code of Conduct, which, among other things, orders that members “Moderate the volume of your voice and the expansiveness of your gestures,” and a zero-tolerance harrassment policy that results in lifetime bans for infractions.
