(August 16, 1934 – April 30, 2013)

Andrew Jefferson Offutt V was an American fan and pro writer who lived in Kentucky. He was married to Jodie Offutt for over fifty years. He published sf since 1954, and wrote in a variety of areas, but mostly in heroic fantasy, usually bylined Andrew J. Offutt.

He wrote a large number of pornographic/erotic works under pseudonyms, including John Cleve, a penname shared by D. Bruce Berry, with whom he also wrote a couple of sf novels under the name Jeff Douglas. After his death, his son Chris wrote My Father, the Pornographer (2016).

From 1976–78, Andy was President of SFWA.

A genial raconteur, he was frequently sought as a convention MC/toastmaster. From 1973 on, he was the perennial MC at all Kubla Khans.
