A bid to host the 1977 Worldcon at the Sheraton Park Hotel in Washington, DC.
The competition was 7 in 77 (which won and went on to run SunCon), Philadelphia in 1977, Montreal in '77 and New York in '77. See 1977 Worldcon Site Selection for details.
The bid committee was chaired by Peggy Rae Pavlat and included Alan Huff, Bill Evans, Susan Applegate, Bill Hixon, Ron Bounds, Bob Madle, Bob Pavlat, Barry Newton, Don Pauley, David Bischoff, Joe Haldeman, and Dick Eney.
