Ted Pauls published Contact as a bidzine for the committee.

Worried about the Increase in Convention Sizes in the 70s, committee planned to limit attendance to 2800-3000 people as that was the largest convention the Sheraton had room for.

It appears that the bid ended before the site selection ballot was printed. The right to run the 1977 Worldcon was won by 7 in '77 which went on to run SunCon. See 1977 Site Selection.

See Suncon publications and photos on for an interesting survey conducted by Lew Wolkoff on behalf of the Philly bid.
