Tabakow (née Stone) was pictured as a member of the Cincinnati Fantasy Group in the 1949 Cinvention program book, named only as “Mrs. Lou Tabakow.” She was present at Doc Barrett’s post-con party, the ur-Midwestcon. She attended other Midwestcons and conventions, though it’s unclear whether she had any interest in sf or fandom in her own right or merely accompanied her husband.
The Tabakows had two sons, Philip and David.
