John B. Hall
(???? –)
John B. Hall was a UK fan from Wimbledon in London active in the 1950s. He was a member of the Surrey Circle and around May 1954 took over the running of the Lakeland S.F. Organisation including its library.
Arthur Thomson, a fellow member of the Surrey Circle, visited Hall's large Wimbledon house, 'one room of which contained nothing but trestle-tables piled high with fanzines and books. These were not his but the property of the Lakeland SF Organisation' (Rob Hansen, Then). Thomson found some Hyphens, borrowed them, and sent off for a subscription.
Around spring of 1955, Hall decided that the 'L' is LSFO now stood for 'London'. He issued a circular announcing that the Organisation had four branches in Prestwich, Redditch, Edinburgh and the United States with its headquarters in Wimbledon.
It seems nothing much came of this.
