NASFiC 13, AKA Spikecon, was held in conjunction with Westercon 72, Manticon 2019, and a 1632 Minicon on July 4-7, 2019 at the Hilton Garden Inn and the Davis Conference Center in Layton, UT (near where the Golden Spike was hammered in to complete the transcontinental railroad.) The committee for all these cons was the same, and was chaired by Kate Hatcher, but the GoHs were different.

NASFiC:[edit]

The Author GoHs were David Weber and Laurell K. Hamilton, Artist GoH was Vincent Villafranca, Artist and Costumer GoH was Dragon Dronet, Editor GoH was Susan Chang, Fan GoH was Linda Deneroff, and Fan GoHs and MCs were Bjo & John Trimble. (Villafranca was a GoH of both conventions.)

Utah Fandom Organization:[edit]

Local Guest Author was Eric James Stone and Local Guest Artist was Newton Ewell.

The Westercon 72 committee won the bidding to hold the 2019 NASFiC in conjunction with Spikecon. See 2019 NASFiC Site Selection.

Site Selection was conducted for Westercon 74 and, because of a non-U.S. Worldcon, the 2020 NASFiC; see 2021 Westercon Site Selection and 2020 NASFiC Site Selection.

There was a Blood Drive in association with the Heinlein Society. The convention's designated charities were ANE: Adopt-A-Native-Elder, which provides support to indigenous elders, and Big Cat Rescue in Tampa, Florida, which is one of the world's largest accredited sanctuaries for exotic cats.
