The 1946 Retro Hugos were presented August 31, 1996 at LACon III.

- Best Short Story Retro Hugo: "Uncommon Sense" by Hal Clement
- Best Non-Fiction Book Retro Hugo: There were insufficient nominations, so this category did not appear on the final ballot.
- Best Dramatic Presentation Retro Hugo: The Picture of Dorian Gray
- Best Professional Editor Retro Hugo: John W. Campbell, Jr.
- Best Professional Artist Retro Hugo: Virgil Finlay
- Best Original Artwork Retro Hugo: There were insufficient nominations, so this category did not appear on the final ballot.
- Best Semiprozine Retro Hugo: There were insufficient nominations, so this category did not appear on the final ballot.
- Best Fanzine Retro Hugo: Voice of the Imagi-Nation ed. by Forrest J Ackerman
