Diane Elizabeth Duane is an American SF and fantasy author living in Ireland. Her works include the Young Wizards young adult fantasy series and the Rihannsu Star Trek novels. She has also written a number of other Star Trek novels, based on both the original and the next generation series.
She was on the committee for some of the earliest Star Trek Conventions.
She has written scripts for DC comics, and a trilogy of Spider-Man novels, The Venom Factor, for Byron-Preiss Multimedia from 1994 to 1998. Duane was also a co-author of the movie Barbie: Fairytopia.
She is married to fantasy writer Peter Morwood.
