Banks Holt Mebane, Jr., was a Washington, DC, fan and a member and president of WSFA in the 1960s. He chaired Disclave 9 in 1965 and was active in WSFS. He wrote for a number of fanzines, particularly prozine reviews.
A native of North Carolina, he moved to Melbourne, FL, in the 1970s, where he belonged to the South Florida Science Fiction Society and the Southern Fandom Confederation.
