Boskone 56 was a convention held February 15-17, 2019 at the Westin Waterfront, Boston in Boston, MA. The guests were: Elizabeth Hand (GoH), Christopher Golden (Special Guest), Jim Burns (AGoH) (unable to attend due to a last-minute emergency), Cindy Pon (YA Fiction Guest), Vandana Singh (Hal Clement Science Speaker), Gardner Dozois (NESFA Press Guest, in memoriam). Attendance was 1,382 total members with a warm body count of 1,061.

A special exhibit was From the Collection of Joe Siclari and Edie Stern, which included more than 40 pieces of art, including works by Hannes Bok, Chesley Bonestell, Margaret Brundage, Vincent Di Fate, Leo and Diane Dillon, and Ed Emsh.

Melinda Snodgrass was presented with NESFA's Skylark Award.
