Evelyn Leeper (née Chimelis), a fan now living in New Jersey, was a member and officer of the UMass Science Fiction Society from 1968 to 1972 and a member of the Wayne Third Foundation in Detroit in the mid-1970s. In 1978, she and her husband, Mark Leeper, founded the Mt Holz Science Fiction Club at Bell Labs.

She and Mark have jointly edited and published their weekly ezine, The M T Void, since 1978. As of November 20, 2020, they had pubbed 2,146 issues.

She was one of the founders of the Sidewise Award for Alternate History and a judge for 20 years. She contributed to Uchronia: The Alternate History List. She is an inveterate writer of highly detailed con reports and has been nominated for the Hugo Award for Best Fan Writer numerous times.

She may have coined YMMV.

The Leepers met while in high school as math champs in western Massachusetts.
