A bid sponsored by MCFI, which won the right to hold the 1980 Worldcon by defeating Baltimore in '80 at an election held at Iguanacon in 1978. See 1980 Worldcon Site Selection.
The bid was chaired by Leslie Turek who went on to chair the convention, Noreascon Two.
