Slanapa is the commonly used name of the Slanderous Amateur Press Association, an apa founded in January 1961 by Bob Vardeman, Frank Denton, Dale Goble, Mike Horvat and Ned Brooks -- all still members. It is monthly and has no rules or dues. The task of collating and distributing the mailing falls to each member on the roster in turn. The 500th mailing is to appear in September 2011, from Jerry Lapidus.
