Mark Plummer, who lives in Croydon, UK, is co-editor with his partner Claire Brialey of the award-winning fanzine Banana Wings, formed by joining their fanzines Waxen Wings and Banana Skins. He found fandom in 1985 and is a member of ANZAPA.
Banana Wings been nominated for the Best Fanzine Hugo in 2005-2007, 2009-2013. It has won the Nova Award for Best Fanzine five times. It has also won the FAAn Award for Best Fanzine twice, in 2007 and 2010. It has been published from the 1990s and throughout the 2000s.
Claire and Mark also produced Easter Wine, a 2003 anthology for the convention Seacon03 Can't Get Off the Island, a 2005 collection of writing by Greg Pickersgill editor of Rastus Johnson's Cakewalk, which won the Nova Award for Best Fanzine in 1994.
He has worked on numerous conventions, including Eastercons and Worldcons. Is a former committee member of the British Science Fiction Association. He was a judge for the Arthur C. Clarke Award 1992-1995 and a columnist for Strange Horizons 2011-2013.
