Cohen was a SF fan particularly active in the 1960s-1970s when he lived in The Avocado Pit and was an officer in the Fantasy and Science Fiction Society of Columbia University. He was a member of the 7 in '77 Worldcon bid and one of the lyricists for The Mimeo Man.
