Chip Bestler was a fan in the 1970s and ’80s and was married to fellow fan Leah Dillon Gadzikowski. Thursday began in the dorm room he shared in the ’70s with Phil Foglio. He chaired Capricon 1 in 1981, held in Evanston, Illinois, and was part of the Chicago in 1982 Worldcon bid.
Chip transitioned and became Caitlin Bestler in the ’80s.
