Herbert E. Goudket was a very early fan from New York. He belonged to the Scienceers and the QSFL and attended the First Convention in 1936 (where he wasn’t pictured in the famous photo because he was the photographer) and the Second Eastern States Science Fiction Convention in 1937.
He started reading prozine SF in 1926. He was a friend of Allen Glasser and Mort Weisinger. He became an actifan after the second reincarnation of the Scienceers (which met in Weisinger's home), joining the Queens ISA. The Queens group "sponsored" the first American rocket mail in 1935 ... the same time that the American Rocket Society was doing rocket experiments.
