A slan shack in LA inhabited in 1965 by Ed Baker, Philip Castora, Don Simpson and Hank Stine. It was also called Galt's Gulch' and the Ayn Shrine.
It was the site of LASFS parties and one, at least, the 1965 Halloween party, was shot at around 2:30 am by gatecrashers who had been ejected around 1 am for playing with knives... Dian Pelz was hurt by wood splinters thrown by a bullet that passed between her and Bill Rotsler while they sat talking. (Ratatosk #23.)
