Al Fitzpatrick was a fan originally from York, England. He moved to Australia, where he was involved in fandom and a congoer, and later to Minneapolis, where he was a member of Minnstf in the late 1970s.

He and Paul Stokes stayed up all night at Omegacon in Adelaide in 1975, drinking so much that Fitzpatrick wound up in the hospital.

From the 1980s until his death, he lived in New Jersey, about 25 miles from New York City, where he worked in a plastics factory. He enjoyed cruises.

He died of Covid-complicated pneumonia.
