Star Science Fiction was the pioneering original anthology series published by Ballantine Books in the 1950s, and edited by Frederik Pohl.
Star Science Fiction Stories No.1 was the first book in the series. It was first published in 1953. There were six volumes in the series, the last published in 1959.
