Sheila Ashworth
(???? –)
Sheila Ashworth (previously Sheila O'Donnell) was a UK fan from Bradford active in the 1950s and early 1960s. She was a member of the Romiley Fan Veterans & Scottish Dancing Society.
As Sheila O'Donnell she co-edited Amor with Mal Ashworth, later her husband, and wrote for fanzines including Femizine and Brennschluss.
Walt Willis, writing in Hyphen #14, noted that at |Cytricon, the 1955 Eastercon, she wore a Propeller Beanie', a double-prop job, through the streets of Kettering without attracting more than cursory attention… which is a commentary on women's hats'. He also said she had a 'fine old North Country' and 'a nice line in humour'.
According to the Running, Jumping, and Standing Still Fanzine (1961), Ken Potter once told her 'I've never trusted your judgement since you said you liked William Saroyan better than rice pudding'.
