Allis Villette from Alberta, Canada, characterized herself as a “scientifeminist.” She was active in the lettercols of Science Fiction Digest and Fantasy Magazine in 1933–35. That would qualify her for First Fandom.
However, Dale Speirs, researching her decades later, contacted Sam Moskowitz, who suggested — with convincing evidence — that Villette was a Forrest J Ackerman hoax. "Allis Don't Live Here Anymore," Speirs wrote in Opuntia 19, (May 1994).
By 1939, she may have become Mrs. Allis Kerlay, another Canadian who only seems to exist in Forryland — among the contributors to his fanzine Metropolis and listed among a lot of other Forrynyms in the Nycon and Chicon program books.
