Steve Savitzky

A fan and filker who has lived in the Seattle area since 2012. He is a performer and song writer.

At their previous residence in the Bay Area, Grand Central Starport, he and his late wife, Colleen Savitzky, hosted a regular Wednesday night filk gathering for many years.

In 1989, Steve and Colleen took a suite at BayFilk (which was immersed in a major fannish feud at the time and didn't have a con suite) and declared it to be the Neutral Zone with all filkers welcome. Consonance, BayFilk's replacement in part grew out of that.

Colleen and Steve were inducted into the Filk Hall of Fame in 2008.
