(1958 – July 12, 2021)

Colleen Savitzky, a fan and filker from the Bay Area, served as con suite hostess at several Bay Area filk events. She hosted a regular Wednesday night filk gathering with her husband, Steve Savitzky, for many years at their home, Grand Central Starport.

In 1989 they took a suite at BayFilk (which was immersed in a major fannish feud at the time and didn't have a con suite) and declared it to be the Neutral Zone, with all filkers welcome. Consonance, BayFilk's replacement, grew in part out of that.

Colleen and Steve were inducted into the Filk Hall of Fame in 2008. They moved to the Seattle area in 2012.
