G. Patrick Molloy, a Southern con fan and rocket scientist working for NASA in Huntsville, AL, first found fandom in 1978.

He has worked on numerous regional conventions and Worldcons, and has chaired ConCave from 1980-82, Con*Stellation IV, Con*Stellation VII, and DeepSouthCon 25 and continues to be one of the mainstays of Concave. Clubs include the Western Kentucky University Speculative Fiction Society (1979-1981), the North Alabama Science Fiction Association, MCFI, NESFA, and the Cincinnati Fantasy Group. He was on the Louisville in '94 Worldcon bid committee. He won DUFF in 2001 with his partner Naomi Fisher.
