Maureen K. Speller was an SF book reviewer, writer, editor, and librarian. She was probably best known as a fanwriter and fanzine publisher, but served in numerous convention committees.

She was a member of the following apas: Acnestis (founder and OE), Prophecy, The Secret Garden, ANZAPA, TurboAPA. She was a member of BSFA and was Administrator and edited some issues of Vector. She was a Rotsler Award judge, 2004–6.

Fellow fan Paul Kincaid was her partner from 1986 until her death (they married in 1993). She worked for WritersServices as a freelance editor.
