(1922 –)

Mari Beth Wheeler (Colvin) was a long-time fan and member of LASFS. She attended the Michicon 4 and hung out with the Slan Shack crowd, part of the group that moved from the Midwest to L.A.

In the mid-1940s, she lived in Bloomington, Illinois, pubbed her ish and hung out with Tucker.

Les Croutch was rude about her in his 1948 Torcon conrep (Light 36).

Fanzines and Apazines:

Her photo appears in Harry Warner's history of fandom in the 1940s, All Our Yesterdays. She’s also pictured here (#37), on what looks like a double date, her and Tucker with Virginia and Walt Daugherty.
