(Are you looking for a different Kubla?)
Kublacon 2001: A Geek Odyssey was a local convention held April 6–8, 2001, at Beloit College in Beloit, Wisconsin, run by Anne Peterson. The GoHs were Matt Forbeck, Don Perrin, Justin Achilli, John Ickes, and Ursula Vernon.
Memberships were free except for a Warhammer tournament. It was sponsored by the Beloit Science Fiction and Fantasy Association, replacing a previous con called Dairyland. The organizers were aware of the long running Nashville Kubla Khan, but figured the distance meant their co-opting the name didn’t matter.
