Joel Zakem is a Midwest fan and con-runner. He is a director at large of SFOHA and ran for DUFF in 1997. Attended every Midwestcon since 1968. He was a mainstay of Rivercon from 1987-2000 serving as head or co-hear of Program from 1993-2000. He was also Chicon 2000 Programming staff, LoneStarCon 3 Dealers Room staff and a committee member for Detcon 1].
