Frank Kelly Freas was one of the major SF artists of the post-war period, active from the early 1950s to the late ’90s. He was married to Polly Freas until her death and later married Laura Freas.

His major markets included Astounding Science Fiction, Mad Magazine, many book publishers including the entire Laser line. Freas was the first person to receive ten Hugo Awards and was nominated 20 times.
