Deedee Lavender (born Vira Dee Ellis in Missouri) was active in fandom in several parts of the U.S., among them L.A. and Ohio, beginning in the 1940s.

She was a member of the N3F, and served jointly with her husband, Roy Lavender, as its secretary-treasurer in 1950. She worked on the Cinvention, and was a member of the CFG, LASFS (joining September 20, 1962) and The Petards.

She and Roy reared second-generation fan Lois Lavender. They also had a son, Roy, Jr. (b. 1944).
