Best Professional Magazine Hugo Category for 1953:

Winner: (tie): Astounding Science Fiction ed. by John W. Campbell, Jr. and Galaxy ed. by H. L. Gold.

This first year of the Hugos there was no shortlist of nominees, nor voting by the members of the convention. The winners were chosen by the Philcon II committee.
