Brian Hampton
(???? – )
Brian Hampton was a UK fan active from the 1960s into the 1980s. He was a member of the Bristol and District Group (BaD), and a founding member of the Herts. Science Fiction and Fantasy Group and later the Kingston SF Group.
When a student in Bristol he was a member of the BaD, contributing to their clubzine, Badinage, and being in charge of logistics for Briscon, the 1967 Eastercon.
In early 1968, and at roughly the same time as fellow BaD member Graham Boak, he moved to Hatfield in Hertfordshire to work in the aerospace industry. With others they formed the Herts. Science Fiction and Fantasy Group in April. Then around September 1971, Boak and Hampton were involved with another new group, the Kingston SF Group, where Hampton became treasurer.
Hampton attended a number of convention during the 1970s and early 1980s, appearing as 'Scarecrow' in the 'The Wizard of Ozimov' skit at Tynecon, the 1974 Eastercon.
