SF, mystery, and western author Gary Anthony Lovisi lives in Brooklyn, New York. In the 1980s–1990s, he edited and published Other Worlds, a digest-sized magazine of SF and fantasy stories.
He is a Mystery Writers of America Edgar Award nominated author for his crime fiction, and a Western Writers of America Spur Award Winner as editor.
Gary's Gryphon Publications imprint revived many classic and out-of-print mysteries. He edited the magazine Hardboiled, and sponsored the New York Pulp and Paperback Expo for twenty-five years. He is also the editor/publisher of Paperback Parade, a digest-sized magazine on paperback topics. Articles on SF/fantasy topics are included in almost every issue.
