The 1955 Best Short Story Hugo was presented September 4 at the Clevention. This second year of the Hugos there was again no shortlist of nominees. The winner was chosen by a vote of the members.
Winner: "Allamagoosa" by Eric Frank Russell (Astounding, May 1955)
