(????–)

Judy Schneider was active in fandom in Michigan in the 1970s. She was a member of the Oak Park High School Science Fiction Club, and then the Stilyagi Air Corps and the Wayne Third Foundation.

She was married to W3Fer Paul Madarasz for a time; they moved to Tucson, Arizona, where she lives now.

Fellow OPHSSFC-member Leah Zeldes recalled:

Judy was a couple of years ahead of me in high school. She was very shy, demure and quiet at club meetings, and not then involved with fandom at large the way Larry Downes and I were. When she was heading off for college at the University of Michigan (where she planned to stay in an all-girls dorm), she asked me if I knew about any sf people in Ann Arbor. So I told her about the Stilyagi Air Corps and put her in touch with Ro Nagey.

And the next time I ran into her, at the subsequent ConFusion, it must have been, she was living with Roger Gregory! What a transformation. I always hoped her parents never knew who introduced her to that crowd.
