Howard Frank and his wife Jane Frank created The Frank Collection, a collection of more than 100 years of SF, fantasy, and horror art. Encompassing hundreds of artworks by over 150 leading artists, this collection has been created over a thirty-year period by the Franks. It is probably one of the top five SF art collections in the world.
Howard Frank, also a collector of rare SF books, won First Fandom's Sam Moskowitz Archive Award in 2013.
He served as the Dean of the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland. Prior to that, he was the Director of the Information Technology Office at DARPA.
