James White

(7 April 1928 -- 23 August 1999)

James White was born and lived in Belfast, working as a publicity officer for Short Bros., though he grew up in Canada. He was married to Peggy White. He was an active fan, one of the Wheels of IF and a member of the Belfast Triangle, working on both Slant and Hyphen. He helped design the Tucker Hotel and was one of the best Ghoodminton players the world has ever seen. He co-authored Beyond the Enchanted Duplicator ... To the Enchanted Convention with Walt Willis. He also had a successful career as a science fiction writer.
