Joann Wood was a fan who started the Connecticut Valley SF Society in Hartford, CT in 1969. She was one of the bidders for 7 in '77 and Hawaii in 1981 and was an early member of NESFA. She was married to fellow fan Ed Wood and were active for many years in Midwest fandom before moving to Texas.
