Joann Wood was a fan who started the Connecticut Valley SF Society in Hartford, CT in 1969. She was one of the bidders for 7 in '77 and Hawaii in 1981 and was an early member of NESFA and on the Noreascon 1 committee. She was married to fellow fan Ed Wood and were active for many years in Midwest fandom before moving to Texas.
