Scandinavian SF Society
Skandinavisk förening för science fiction (SFSF) is a club founded in 1959 in Stockholm and still extant and active. It was the largest early Swedish club. During the 1970s, the membership ranged from 200 to over 600 members. It bought Swedish and foreign titles at a discount and sold them to its members, which allowed it to rent space at Pontonjargatan 45 in central Stockholm. It held meetings four evenings a week.
It publishes a genzine SF-Forum and a club newszine Fanac (Holmberg). Stieg Larsson was a member and president.

When there's a floreat (Fl.), this indicates the time or times for which we have found evidence that the club existed. This is probably not going to represent the club's full lifetime, so please update it if you can! |
